Fire at Roompot Hof Domburg – Current Situation

Reopening from Monday, July 14

We are pleased to inform you that utilities (gas, hot water, electricity, and sewage) have now been restored and that Roompot Hof Domburg will be able to welcome new guests again starting Monday, July 14. Both the accommodations and the campsite will be available for stays from that date onward.

Limited Availability of Facilities

The swimming pool, wellness center, and bowling alley will remain closed for the time being. It is currently unclear if and when these facilities can be reopened. All other facilities are open.

Compensation for Affected Guests at Hof Domburg

Guests staying at Roompot Hof Domburg in the near future who are unable to use the above-mentioned facilities will receive compensation. This amount will be automatically deducted from the invoice and/or refunded to the guest's bank account. No action is required on their part.

Guests from surrounding parks who normally have access to these facilities will also be compensated. The amount will also be automatically deducted from the invoice and/or refunded to their bank account. No action is required. The surrounding parks include:

Residence Wijngaerde, Bos en Duin, Camping Dishoek, Residence Dishoek, and Buitenhof Domburg.

For questions or assistance with rescheduling a stay, guests can contact our Guest Service at 088 - 0444999. We are available on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on weekends from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The current availability of alternative parks can also be found at www.roompot.com and www.landal.com.

This morning, we were faced with a fire in the wellness area of Roompot Hof Domburg. Fortunately, no one was injured, but unfortunately, the damage does impact the stay of our guests.

Due to the fire, the swimming pool, bowling alley, and utility services in the park (gas, hot water, electricity, and sewage) are currently unavailable. This means we unfortunately have to cancel all stays with arrival dates up to and including Sunday, July 13 at Hof Domburg. We understand this is disappointing.

What now?

Guests are being personally informed. The amount for the unused days will be automatically refunded to their bank account in the coming days. They do not need to take any action.

Would they still like to enjoy a holiday at one of our other destinations? We would be happy to assist and get in touch with them personally to arrange a new booking. Due to high demand, this may take some time. That’s why we recommend booking a new stay directly at www.roompot.com or www.landal.com. For example, there is still availability at Beach Resort Kamperland and Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad, both not far from Domburg. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope for your understanding.

Landal confirms that a fire broke out on the top floor of the wellness area of Roompot Hof Domburg this morning.

Emergency services arrived quickly and in large numbers. The incident is now under control. The safety of our guests, staff and emergency services has our highest priority. Everyone was evacuated in time and safely. 

As a precaution, the area has been temporarily closed off, and the swimming pool will remain closed for the rest of the day. The exact impact is currently being investigated after the building is released by the fire department. We are in close contact with the relevant authorities and are doing everything possible to normalize the situation as soon as possible.
