This week, Landal Residence Ouddorp Duin on Goeree-Overflakkee is celebrating the arrival of its first guests. This marks the completion of the Ouddorp Duin expansion project after approximately 11 years. The new, high-quality holiday resort is located next to the existing Landal Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin.
Nature-Inclusive Park in the Dunes
The development and expansion of Ouddorp Duin began in 2014. The project is now complete, with the first guests welcomed at the beautiful, nature-inclusive and atmospheric resort nestled in the dunes. It offers visitors a versatile destination with a wonderful beach, surf school, pump track, beach theatre, and indoor and outdoor play facilities for young children. The surrounding area also has plenty for all ages to enjoy, from hiking, cycling and swimming to golf, surfing and exploring the nearby villages and towns.
Local Coastal Feeling
“Although the park is located in Goeree-Overflakkee in South Holland, it truly captures the atmosphere of the southwestern coastal region,” says park manager Marit Mulders. “The local dialect, the culture, and the location between the North Sea, Lake Grevelingen, and the expansive polders give it a unique character. By designing the park as a true dune landscape, we’ve enhanced that atmosphere even further. The feeling of being in the dunes, with the beach just a stone’s throw away, creates a truly unique experience. We’re very proud of the result and look forward to welcoming our guests to our beautiful new park!”
Sustainable and Natural
The luxurious two- and four-person apartments at Landal Residence Ouddorp Duin are located directly behind the dunes, giving guests direct access to the beach from their accommodation. The units are sustainably built using natural materials and are arranged in small, stylish clusters. Thanks to their natural landscaping, they blend seamlessly into the dune environment. Each apartment has a high quality, luxurious interior and some lodges are also equipped with a Finnish or infrared sauna. The resort is car-free, with charging stations within the parking area.
